We’re honored to have as the show’s guests, Paul Armentano and Robert Scott Bell.

Paul Armentano is the Deputy Director of NORML and the NORML Foundation. His recent op-ed at CNN.com (read here) discusses the Ron Paul-Barney Frank legislation to return marijuana decision-making to the states, and we’ll be talking with him on that subject. Mr. Armentano is an expert in the field of marijuana policy, health, and pharmacology, and has served as a consultant for Health Canada and the Canadian Public Health Association. He has spoken at numerous national conferences and legal seminars, testified before state legislatures and federal agencies, and assisted dozens of criminal defense attorneys in cases pertaining to the use of medicinal cannabis, drug testing, and drugged driving. He also serves of the faculty of Oaksterdam University in Oakland, where he lectures on the science surrounding the safety and efficacy of medical cannabis. He is the author of Emerging Clinical Applications for Cannabis, which reviews some 200 clinical and preclinical studies assessing the therapeutic properties of marijuana and its cannabinoids.

Mr. Armentano is a frequent guest on national radio and television, having appeared on FoxNews, MSNBC, and CBS News. His writing and research has appeared in approximately 1,000 publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and The Christian Science Monitor, as well as in some two-dozen textbooks and anthologies. Mr. Armentano is a 2008 recipient of the ‘Project Censored Real News Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism.’ In 2009, he co-authored the book Marijuana is Safer: So Why Are We Driving People to Drink? (2009, Chelsea Green), which has appeared on Amazon.com’s best-sellers list and has been most recently licensed and translated internationally.

Robert Scott Bell is a leading natural health expert and host of a daily radio show on Natural News, and weekly 2 hour radio show on GCN.

Robert Scott Bell tackles the tough issues and shows no fear when confronting government and corporate bullies who would stand in the way of health freedom.

He’s also been a featured speaker at three Nullify Now! events – with more to come in the future. Click here to see video of him speaking in Phoenix. Robert will be a featured speaker at Nullify Now! Kansas City.

How does health freedom tie into the 10th Amendment? Robert says it is essential – without health freedom, the ability to defeat tyranny is doubly difficult. Robert will explain why nullification is not just an historical political revival, but a matter of life and death. His message: “Stop asking for permission where none is required.”

  1. Paul Armentano and NORML have done so much to bring marijuana into the political forefront and have done so without using any of the connotational clichés that come along with cannabis users and legalization campaigns of old.

You are spot on Michael. I imagined things implied that were not there. Thanks! Joe in Missouri

    • MichaelBoldin says:

Joe, really appreciate the feedback – it really IS an important discussion, and glad you brought it up. When we talk about WHERE things should be addresses, that does mean some areas are going to do things very poorly for liberty. But, my belief is that the more decentralized, the greater chance liberty has in the first place. Hope to cover an entire episode on this sometime.

  3. tittiger says:

I disagree with Paul Armentano. As far as what I put in my body the individual states have no right to interfere with that or any other God given right.

I think Jefferson said it best:

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.” — Thomas Jefferson

We do not need to shift the tyranny from the Federal level to the state level. Doesn't any one yet, after 200 years, understand that I have all rights as long as I do not agrees on the rights of others? Locke must be turning over in his grave. Geeeeez

    • MichaelBoldin says:

The constitution is what we are talking about here – putting that decision in the hands of the states IS correct. Now if you have a problem with the tyranny on the state level, you have a FAR better chance of fixing it there than on a federal level. this is not to argue that state restrictions on rights are GOOD or BAD – this is just to talk about WHERE those decisions should be made…..the proper place, and the best place to expand the chance for liberty….is closer to home. The closer our society gets to that, the closer it will get to people making decisions for themselves, as individuals.

  4. tittiger says:

Thanks Michael but now I am having trouble finding the archive. :-P

    Joe

  5. tittiger says:

At what freaking time??? Is it in the small print or something?

    • MichaelBoldin says:
