Welcome to Tenther Radio Episode #72! The Captain of our Fellowship, Michael Boldin leads the party with his sword of freedom along with his co-host, the Elf Huntress Lesley Swann who aim with the bow is always true.
As President Obama and Mitt Romney fought for the Ring of Power, the free peoples of ten states challenged the rule of the Dark Lord of Mordor on the Potomac. Of those ten, six states passed their nullifying initiatives. Boldin and Swann started the conversation discussing the Montana’s victory declaring that governments can’t mandate the people to purchase health insurance.
After the break, the Dwarf John Michaels came flying out of the gate swing his very sharp ax and taking no prisoners while discussing Colorado and Washington State’s victory demanding the free recreational use of marijuana by their people. He said, “The people of the State of Colorado and the people of the State of Washington saying, ‘Yeah, we respect what you are say about marijuana, but we can handle our own problems in our state. You can go shove it!”
Michael Boldin followed up by saying, “…the bottom line is, all agricultural and all health care issues are Tenth Amendment issues.”
Later our special guest, the Elf Scholar Michael Maharrey joined our Fellowship and contributed by discussing the passage to Alabama’s Constitution an anti-care amendment, “By putting that in the (State) Constitution, their state legislatures and their state executives to actually stand up and force the will of the people.”
Lesley asked Maharrey about his thoughts on Washington State’s passage of recreation use of marijuana and he answered, “The bottom line this is a much deeper and important issue than rather or not the people have the right to get high. This is the fundamental issue of, can the federal government can grow in our own back yards.”
Lesley brought up a great point when she said, “The marijuana and healthcare nullification is really go hand and hand because they both are about who owns your body. Does the government own your body or do you own your body. That really is the crux of both issues.”
Boldin followed up by saying, “It almost sounds like we are the real pro-choice movement. And that whole phrase has been misused by popular culture. A real pro-choice movement would be about these types of choices.”
The Fellowship followed up by discussing Wyoming also passing an health care freedom amendment followed up by Massachusetts becoming the eighteenth state to pass medical marijuana.
Captain Boldin brought us home with a great rant about it is now to use nullification and we should not fear it. Fear is the weapon of the Dark Lord.
There is also a post show where John Michaels went off on a great rant about Colorado Governor’s response to the voters nullifying the federal government on marijuana. The Hobbit John Lambert joined the crowd and dropped one funny snarky comment. A comment he will follow through on if what he stated actually becomes legal.
To hear both, well, you will need to listen to the podcast.
