Tennessee and more than 15 other states are rejecting the creation of Affordable Care Act exchanges. Texas has a proposed bill to reject mandates. And South Carolina will be the 4th state this coming year to consider nullification of the Affordable Care Act altogether. People across the spectrum don’t like the idea of the federal government being in charge of your health. Some want to leave that control to state or local governments. Other people consider the federal law as a corporate bailout. Some people believe that the market is the right place for these decisions.
And some people correctly base their views on constitutional grounds – that it could be government-run or it could be a market solution – but either way it should be out of the hands of the politicians in DC.
