Years ago, the Tenth Amendment Center was a lone voice talking about how specific state laws were acts of nullification. 25 states were standing against George Bush’s Real ID act. And now 18 states are nullifying federal laws on weed. Today, we’re not alone. Even the Department of justice acknowledges that voter initiatives to legalize marijuana in Washington and Colorado are acts of nullification. So either these guys are reading our work, or the message is really getting out there. Either way, we’re winning.
Michael Boldin and Nick Hankoff host.
Will states nullify federal gun laws? South Carolina is first on the docket moving in that direction. And we have confirmations from legislators in a number of other states saying we should expect them to do the same and more.
In the post-show, we also talk about how congressional budget negotiations with the president – like John Boehner has been doing, are blatantly unconstitutional.
